Licence Terms

Last updated: 15 August 2026

These Licence Terms provide a general overview of the conditions governing the use of LF Software products. The individual licence agreement executed with each customer takes precedence over this summary.

1. Grant of licence

LF Hawk Watch, LF-SEC, LF Vision and LF Management are licensed, not sold. The licence grants the customer organization a non-exclusive, non-transferable and time-limited right to install and use the software within the scope defined in the applicable licence agreement.

The licence may establish limits relating to users, devices, sites, cameras, modules and other operational parameters.

2. Licence term and renewal

Each licence is granted for a defined period. Before the licence expires, designated account contacts may receive advance notifications regarding renewal. If the licence is not renewed, access to the software or specific features may be restricted. In customer-owned deployments, operational data remains on the customer’s infrastructure.

3. Customer-operated installations

Unless otherwise specified in the applicable agreement, LF Software products are deployed and operated on infrastructure controlled by the customer. The customer is responsible for infrastructure, data management, user administration, backups and security policies.

LF Software does not routinely access customer data and provides technical support only within the scope defined in the licence agreement.

4. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights relating to LF Software products remain the exclusive property of LF Software and their respective rights holders. This includes, but is not limited to, software, source code, proprietary taxonomies, databases, documentation, trademarks, logos and visual identity.

The licence does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property. Except where expressly permitted by the applicable agreement, the customer may not reverse engineer, modify, redistribute or sublicense the software, create derivative works, or remove copyright or ownership notices.

Specific licensing models, including operator licences, may authorize additional rights under separate contractual terms.

5. Permitted use

The software may only be used for the customer’s internal business operations or for the specific purposes defined in the applicable licence agreement.

The following activities are prohibited: circumventing licensing mechanisms, using the software to provide unauthorized licensing services, removing ownership notices, and attempting to bypass technical restrictions.

6. Support and updates

Customers with an active licence are entitled to technical support by email, software updates released during the licence term, and security updates where applicable. Support is provided in accordance with the applicable service conditions.

7. Limitation of liability

LF Software shall not be liable for customer infrastructure failures, internet connectivity issues, third-party software failures, hardware failures, or data loss resulting from the customer’s failure to maintain appropriate backup procedures.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LF Software’s liability shall be limited to the extent established in the applicable licence agreement.

8. Applicable law

The applicable law and jurisdiction governing each licence agreement shall be defined in the individual agreement executed between LF Software and the customer.
